Shot Composition

L/O: To understand the basic rules of shot composition.

The Rule Of Thirds

The rule of thirds makes images interesting because it focusing on something in a certain area and fits more into the image.

These don't use the rule of thirds because they are focusing on the person and not the background.

Photographing people

  • Looking Room
  • Head Room
  • Eye Level
  • Center Dominant Eye

peer assessed by Kian

WWW: You followed the rules correctly.

NTT: To look further to your side.

I like these photos and think they are well composed because of the camera perspective, and the way the bottom one is B&W and the top one doesn't use much colour.

  • They mainly use vibrant colours or dark tones.
  • They all use a trending game or upcoming game as their main image.
  • The masthead is always at the top.
