L/O: To identify target audiences for a variety of music magazine genres.
The genre for the Clash magazine is underground music. Its target audience is for males and females between the ages of 14 - 32.
The genres included in this edition of the magazine is Rock music, Dabke, Experimental music and Neo-Soul. These genres appeal more to a younger audience due to the lighter and more contrasted colours, and the mixed variety of genres in the magazine. This magazine is more appealing to white, younger people, who are mid to lower class and enjoy social media and being rebellious. This audience is made self-confident people who enjoy being with their friends and doing things they enjoy. The audience for this magazine are explorers who enjoy finding new music that they will get into. They are more disconnected from regular society because they enjoy many types of music and people.
The genre for this magazine is pop music, the artists advertised on this magazine are people who usually make pop music. The target audience for this magazine is for young white girls between the ages of 12 and 26. I can tell this because of the pink and simple style of the writing, it appeals more to the younger girls who enjoy being together and listening to their music. The price for this magazine would suggest that the audience is middle class or upper, being able to afford this magazine you would have to have a decent job and income. The location of this magazine would be for the UK and for parts of the USA that are more modern. This audience are drop outs who don't usually care about education, they just want to have parties and have fun. They are reformers who are very close minded and only like their own music.
This magazine is a death and heavy metal magazine, the themes of religion and darkness is spread by the crosses and pentagrams that cover the magazine cover. The audience for this magazine are white men between the ages of 25 and 50. They are strugglers with lower income and who have had worse of a life than usual. They are rebels and drop outs that don't obey the law and enjoy listening to their music and having some illegal fun.
This magazine's genre is rock music due to it's artists being more involved in mainly punk rock music. The audience for this magazine is between the ages of 14 and 40, the audience is mainly lower to middle class, enjoying more rebellious styles and ways of living, they are reformers who enjoy being outlaws. They are innovators that like to explore their genre of music. They are white males and females occasionally that live around London or cities in the USA.
